The City of Halsey Memorial Park is located on the south end of town on the west side of highway 99. It includes a basketball court, a skate park, a baseball diamond, a play structure, a sheltered picnic table area, a fire pit, a horseshoe pit, and a climb-through train. On the north area of the park near the flag pole is a pathway of bricks engraved with the names of families and residents who contributed to the park. The park pavillion is reserve-able for family reunions, group picnics, and company events. Reservation costs $60, $30 of which is a deposit that will be returned after the event if the park is left clean. Some dates, especially in late summer, are reserved as far as a year ahead. Please check with City Hall about availability. Reservations are not final until the reservation form is turned in with the fee and deposit.
“Thank you for the use of your beautiful facility. The park is the prettiest it’s ever been.” -- Annabelle Forster; Tangent, OR
The Veteran’s Memorial Park is a small park located on the corner of H street and W 1st street next to the Library. It honors the service of veterans who served from Halsey. There are three memorial plaques there. The City of Halsey recently received a grant to improve the park and add a new monument.
