City of Halsey
Jerry Gillson   jgillson@alyrica.net City of Halsey Councilor I’ve lived in Halsey for 34 years.  We moved here to be close to my job at the mill.  I’m a Core Maker at GP.  I have been married to TJ Gillson for 38 years come October.  We have 2 childred and 3 grandchildren.  I became a Councilor because I wanted to get involved and be a part of making Halsey a better place to live.  I like Halsey because it is quiet and peaceful, and a good place to get to know your neighbors.

CITY COUNCIL
Lee Skinner      lsskinner@rtinet.com City of Halsey Councilor Council President   My wife and I were born in South Dakota and went to school together.  We moved to Halsey eleven years ago.  I’ve worked at the Halsey Select Market since then.  I’ve gotten to know a lot of the folks here working at the store. I applied to be a City Councilor because I heard there was a need, and because I felt like I could help the people who live here.  I think the key will be, if people still like me when I’m done, I’ll know I did a good job.

Marjean Cline          mayor@cityofhalsey.com City of Halsey Mayor          (541) 369-2522 Mayor Cline has lived in Halsey since 1993 and has been part of City government for 16 of those years. She served on the Finance and Budget committees for five years and on the Planning Commission twice. She also served on the City Council from 1998 to 2000.  She served an earlier term as mayor from 2008 through 2012. She is originally from the Philadelphia, PA area and graduated from the University of Oregon in 1989 with a degree in Journalism. She is married to Les, a retired long-haul truck driver, and has one daughter and two grandsons.
I’ve been married 40 years and lived in Halsey since 1979.  We’ve attended Central Valley Church since 1980.  I love outside activities -- hunting, fishing, bicycling -- everything is better outside.  I worked for Willamette Industries for 27 years and Georgia Pacific in Eugene for 10 years. I became a Councilor because I’m retired, I have more time to get involved, and some of my good friends asked me to.
