Alyrica is working their way through town to deliver Halsey residents high speed internet! Fiber installation is complete in some areas on the West side of town, and they are ready to begin hooking up customers to service. Alyrica has split Halsey into sections, and will be connecting customers to service section by section. A map of the sections is available for viewing at City Hall. Postcards will be sent out by Alryica to instruct customers on how to get signed up. Customers can have service run to their home free of charge during this initial installation period, so it’s a great idea to get set up-even if you do not want service at this time. There are two service speeds, 100 megs and a GIGABIT. Home phone lines are also available. Pricing brochures are available at City Hall.
Road Work Ahead
There are two road projects coming up in July in Halsey. Please be aware of these projects and plan accordingly. We understand that these events will inconvenience some Halsey residents, and we very much appreciate your patience and cooperation.Resurfacing H Street Railroad Crossing-July 24th to July 28thThe railroad crossing on H Street between West 1st and East 1st Streets and will be closed to vehicular traffic the week of July 24, 2017. The section of West H Street between the crossing and West 1st Street will be resurfaced. The intersection of West H Street and West 1st Street may be intermittently disrupted by construction traffic. The intersection at East H Street and East 1st Street should not be affected, except for the closure of the crossing. Please plan to use alternate routes during this time. Paving of West 5th, M, & L Streets-AugustA map of the area to be paved can be found here. There will be no vehicle access to homes along this route during paving. Residents will need to park vehicles in an alternate location and walk to and from their homes when coming and going during this time. The project is planned for the end of August. The exact dates and times are unkown at this time. We will provide more info as it comes available. If you have any questions, please call City Hall at (541)369-2522
